It started with brown spotting, then a little red. I got my HCG levels checked and the doctor didn’t think the rise was enough in 48 hours, from 14,300 to 15,800. They did an ultrasound and it did not show evidence of a pregnancy.

I had a large fibroid blocking much of my uterus and one of my Fallopian tubes, so I had to get an MRI. That showed an empty gestational sac with no fetal pole or heartbeat. They think it may be a blighted ovum.

Now I’m waiting for it to pass naturally. This was our first pregnancy. I’m sacred and nervous for what comes next.
