If this was my first I probably would. If anything I feel really grateful because I’ve had so much extra time home with my daughter and time to get prepped for baby and birth!

I don’t think, “no I love it” is what anyone is really feeling. I was pretty much always home all the time anyway and I wasn’t having a shower anyway, so it’s not that big of a deal to me. The uncertainty of everything and bringing a newborn into all of this is not cool, but I am a little relieved to not have to have people at my house gawking over my baby.

You can flaunt your pretty belly in pictures but I feel sorry so people who have to give birth during all this some going through it alone or not with the people they thought would be able to be there. It all sucks though. Hoping it gets better soon 💔

Yeah I completely broke down today when I realised that at 34w I only have one photo (a Polaroid that my partner took) of me and bump (apart from selfies which really aren’t the same). We’re in lockdown in nz and I will need to remain in it until baby is born. So sad I’ve missed out on photos with my gfs, and family and intimate photos with my partner and the baby shower. We ended up having to buy most things ourselves and weren’t able to celebrate.

We actually just started telling people were pregnant right before COVID lock downs happened lol in a couple weeks baby will be here and people are going to be surprised for sure

I’m so thankful this is our second and not our first! We didn’t really plan on showers or anything like that. But I miss people - grandparents won’t be able to feel this little guy move in my belly, it’s way more stressful figuring out the hospital situation and care for my first child, we couldn’t really shop for this one, no 4D ultrasound like we planned, if I need a late ultrasound my husband can’t come. Thankfully friends and family that were done having children sent us a ton of clothes since this one is a boy, otherwise we’d have to buy everything new because all the second hand stores are closed.
My brother is also supposed to be married in May and all of that is up in the air right now, so I feel bad for them too!

It's my second pregnancy, but I didn't flaunt it with my first. In some ways in happy to not be around all the people trying to touch my stomach, but I'm also a SAHM now so it wouldn't have been as big of a problem (I was teaching with my first and my 18-22 yo students couldn't take no for an answer 🙄). Disappointed that the party got canceled, but some things are actually working out better for us because my husband is at home.

Won't let me edit but yall I've missed out on  so many things with this pregnancy.
Even just walking into a store and the sweet grandma's just itching to comment or say some sweet remark... I miss it! And they way people treat a third trimester mama... I miss that! My friends and family haven't even seen me in like 6 weeks, haven't seen my big pregnant belly. Plus no baby shower. 😭😭😭
