Anyone have a plan to wean off breastfeeding?

Since my little one is almost a year soon I’ve been trying to figure out how to wean off breastfeeding. Anyone have a plan? Right now I feed him or pump 4 times a day and feed him before he goes to bed.

I've stopped pumping and just nurse on demand. I am kind of letting him wean himself.

I read an article saying at times of pandemic, it is best to keep the breastfeeding if you still are breastfeeding even if your child’s age passes the recommended 2 year old mark due to the extra immunity boost we give to them. I was planning to wean off by 1 year old as well but I hold back because of this article..

Here’s one method: Reduce your pumping by one session at a time. Meanwhile, use up any stored breastmilk for bottles, then put formula in the bottles for a while if your baby doesn’t eat a wide variety of iron-rich foods yet. If he’s covered for most nutrients through solids, switch to offering up to ~16 ounces of while cows milk throughout the day, preferably in a cup rather than a bottle. Keep the in-person nursing sessions as long as you want to. Switch them to snacks with water in a cup when you feel done with nursing. 
Note: You’ve put a lot of effort into pumping and breastfeeding up to now. So if you’re ready to stop, that makes a lot of sense and is a healthy, rational decision that will be just fine for your baby. I just wanted to note that you don’t need to stop now. A year doesn’t signify growing out of enjoying breastfeeding. Around the world, babies often breastfeed for 2-5 years. So if you want to keep a morning or bedtime feed, or both, that’s normal. It’s also OK to stop if you want. Baby would likely do it him/herself later.

One of my twins basically weaned himself after he went on a nursing strike a couple of weeks ago. I tried everything and he’s just no longer interested. My other twin wants  nurse at night, but will nurse whenever I offer it. 
Once I’m ready to completely wean, I’ll be doing the don’t ask/don’t offer strategy. Basically if he doesn’t ask for it, I won’t offer it. We’ll see how that goes, but I want to allow him to nurse for as long as he’s interested.
