Also unstable. He can sit on his own. Can I walk away and pee when he’s safely playing? No.  
I voted no. I won’t say he can sit on his own until he can go from laying down to sitting which he is no where near doing.

He’s still super unstable, trying not to compare but it’s hard! My first was sitting by himself by 6 months and crawling by 7. My second has been later on his milestones, eventually they all get there and go at their own pace. He’s more advanced In areas my first took longer to master.

My girl (7.5 months) just started getting to sitting position by herself from crawling, but she has been able to be in a sitting position unsupported for a while. She was way faster at it then her older brother.

He can’t get into the sitting position by himself; but if I put him in that position he can hold it until he wants to move himself. I’ve seen him hold it for over half an hour before.

Yes mine can sit on his own but there are moments when he falls backwards , so I usually set up pillows behind him if i need to step away for the bathroom or food or something

She can sit unassisted so I voted yes but she can’t go from laying down to sitting by herself. I’m not sure which one you meant
