So i feel stupid 😂
Alright so I’ve worked in daycares for a few years and when I was in hs and college I babysat all the time. I know that rubbing a kids back will put them to sleep. I KNOW this. But did I think to try it with my baby who seems to be going through the 4 month sleep regression. Nope! I mean how am i even supposed to do that when he sleeps on his back? So tonight when we put him to bed I could not get him to sleep. I’d put him to sleep, lay him down, he’d scream. I’d give him cuddles, lay him down awake, he’d be chill for a few and then scream. I tried laying him down and patting the side of his thigh, as close to his butt I could get, he just stared at me and talked the whole time. So I leave the room, tell my husband it’s his turn, and within 10 min little man is asleep. I’m like what the heck did you do?! HE RUBBED HIS BACK! Now he has NO experience with kids and I’m like what do you mean you rubbed his back? He said well Sam told me to try it because his gf works with kids and thats how she puts them down for naps. I’m like yeah, kids who can sleep on their stomach, but babies that have to sleep in their back. So apparently from now on we just have to stick out hand under him between him and the bassinet and rub his back 😂🤷🏼♀️
