How the Hell do I sleep train??? please help!

Question

My daughter is now 11 months old. I had her sleep trained and she was self soothing so well before her last leap and before she started to crawl. I’m literally dieing with less than 3 hours of sleep last night. My fiancé and I have zero sex life cause every single time we go to have sex she just wakes up and wants screams bloody murder. I tried the last night to let her cry it out, but she just sits up in her crib, won’t even lay down and cry’s so hard she makes her self vomit EVERY SINGLE TIME
 I’m at my wits end.. the crawling stage ruined her sleep. She is still eating up to 3 sometimes 5 bottles a night. I seriously don’t know what to do. Please any advice on what to do?

So what we did was Ferber at first, 3,5,10 min check ins until sleeping. Yes there’s crying, but he got so mad the second night we just did extinction, I think the key is being consistent yeah it sucks to hear them cry but as long as they are fed and changed they r really just fighting going to sleep and learning that crying = you picking them up and soothing them. The puking thing is annoying lol I would just change baby and put them back dow, no talking or lights. And at this age they shouldn’t need that many bottles at night, make sure she’s getting enough during the day she’s most likely doing it out of comfort. Good luck mama!!

That’s really worrying that she cries until she vomits. How does it get to that stage? She must be feeling insecure. You’ll have to get to her quicker and really make her secure again as this isn’t normal x

Sleep deprivation makes everything so much harder. My pediatrician recommended the Ferber method and said if baby vomits just go in and clean up as fast as you can, no eye contact try not to engage with baby (hard I know!) I think consistency is the most important part of sleep training. We used Ferber and my daughter was sleeping great until the last leap and a bout of sickness. We may have to do a little sleep re-training now that she is better but it is so worth it to be able to sleep! Good luck mama!

I know it sucks but losing sleep is apart of being a parent.. I wouldn’t think the vomiting is normal. Follow TakingCaraBabies on Instagram
