Doctor advice?

Question

I’ve been getting faint lines for a few days now and I just got my positive. So nervous after my 9 week loss at the end of February. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow. What should I ask for? Early ultrasounds blood tests? Anything to put my mind at ease.

I recently got pregnant again after a miscarriage and my doctor takes it pretty seriously and this is what she did for me:
Blood work done every 48 hours for 2 weeks to check hcg levels were rising, put me on progesterone supplements and saw me as early as she could for an ultrasound which ended up being 7weeks. They offered to get me in at 6 weeks when I had some light spotting but I waited. 
Currently almost 14 weeks with healthy baby! Saw baby again for an extra ultrasound at 11 weeks and heard the heartbeat. Good luck!

Your post just gave me some hope. I had a d&c done on tuesday and my doctor told me to wait for 2 periods before starting again, i dont want to wait that long and i have heard that the sooner you try the better it is. I have a follow up in 2 weeks, i will ask again and see what he has to say

I miscarried at the end of feb as well. I’m sorry for your loss. Congrats on your rainbow! My midwife suggested that I have an ultrasound around 8 weeks (which was our guess at the time). She didn’t even have me get a blood test. My rainbow measured 8 weeks 1 day. I don’t have a follow-up appointment just yet because of everything going on.

My doctor did 48 hour blood testing around 6 weeks and also gave me an ultrasound at 6 weeks. If baby weren’t growing at 6 weeks, I could weigh options earlier on instead of delaying the outcome if I were to get the standard 8 week ultrasound. Good luck I know it’s scary!

I had two losses around 7 weeks, but my doctor didn't do anything different. No bloodwork, and my first ultrasound was at almost 9 weeks. Now 13+4 and everything is great.
