My husband and I are pregnant with baby #3. For our first baby we didn’t know gender, but it was fairly easy to pick 2 names. One for a boy and one for a girl. For baby #2 we knew it was a girl and we struggled with names up until the week she was born. Her middle name is the girl name that we had picked to use for our first if it was a girl, but it ended up being a boy. Now with baby #3 we are really struggling to come up with any names we like or agree on. We are not finding out gender.

For a girl, I like the name Evie (pronounced Ee-vee. However, one of our friends’ daughters name is that. She is like 7. Our friends is one of my husbands best friends since high school. He was the best man in our wedding. But with that being said, we rarely hangout with them just because life has gotten the best of all of us. We maybe hangout with them 2-4 times per year. The girls would be years apart in age.

So my question is, if we didn’t find any other name we liked, would it be ok to use the name anyway?
