Best tips to avoid getting mastitis?

Any tips on how to avoid getting mastitis? I've read how horrible it is to go through and I really want to try to avoid it if possible! I'm also trying to exclusively breastfeed but pump to get enough for my husband to help feed and I don't want to oversupply if I have to I pump every time I feel engorged.

Following. I’m currently on my 4th round of antibiotics for mastitis. I’ve gotten it 3x. (One round didn’t work). And baby is 4.5months old. I’m miserable and starting to get depressed and frustrated... 
On top of mastitis I’ve had chronic blocked ducts, chronic milk blisters, baby STILL has a shallow latch and lip tie and now we both have thrush. 
And I can’t afford an LC. 😔😕

It's terrible! I've got it twice and it was because I skipped a feeding while traveling and didn't pump. Now I bring a manual pump with me whenever I go out for long.

Feed on demand, don’t wear bras that are too tight or small, or that have underwires.

Feed often and make sure baby has a good latch. I had an oversupply and my daughter had trouble latching. I got mastitis and it was absolutely terrible. It also depleted my supply. 😩

I’ve breasted four of my children for months and I’ve never once had it, I think just feeding often.
