What’s the likelyhood of this pandemic being way down by the time our August babies are here?

Until we have a vaccine and reliable antibody testing nothing can change unfortunately. We have to buckle up. The faster everyone sets their mind to it the faster we will get some normality.
The pandemic itself won't go anywhere at all without the vaccine so it's about how the world adapts to it and makes do during it. It requires countries and people to live under a new normal. You can look at South Korea to see what is required: massive testing capacity, restricted movement (but movement), health and hygiene changes like wearing masks and implementing new health and safety regulations for all sectors of human life.

I don’t think anyone can predict, i would just be mentally prepared for it to be like it is now and hope for the best that it’s better. I hope it’s better by then but I’m being realistic that at the least hospitals still may only be allowing one support person.

I think it will be a bit calmer but I’m assuming we still won’t be able to have any visitors in the hospitals. I’m hoping social distancing will at least be a bit better so I can see family this summer

It might be more on the “calm side” but I read it will be back in the fall just like how other viruses and flus start up again— hoping it just isn’t that big of a worry as it is now come August so we can have baby safely and then just stay home again if it come back in the fall

Until the vaccine is out the virus will still be here. Maybe not as bad if people listen to rules! I’ve been seeing a lot of news about protesters in the states, that’s defiantly not helping the situation...

I think we will be in a calmer point by August; however, I do still foresee us having strict visitor restrictions still so likely only 1 support person with us at delivery. I think summer will be the calm before the storm and it will be catastrophic in the fall/winter.

I think society will be closer to normal but hospitals will probably still be on high alert. They will be expecting a second round
