Inducing that bad?

Is getting induced really that bad???
I hear so many negative scary stories about inducing and how crazy painful it is. 
I might have to end up getting induced 😔

Getting induced today and I also have read all the negative stories but I am going in this being positive and you are with trained professionals so no matter what happens just know everyone is there to make sure you and the baby are ok

I was induced last week for my 4th pregnancy. It was definitely harder than my first 3 spontaneous labors. I had to push a couple minutes longer than usual and the contractions were more painful, but I still did it without pain meds for what that’s worth (though I was begging for them right at the end 🤣). So, while I agree that it’s more painful, don’t let the stories scare you.  It’s just a slightly more difficult experience due to the fact that baby isn’t quite ready yet and it takes extra work for your body to move them into position. Go in prepared with whatever pain management technique you had planned; epidural, iv meds, meditation, whatever and be prepared to be flexible and give yourself grace as you move through the process. 
It will be okay. The end result is still a beautiful, healthy baby. That’s all that matters. You’ve got this!

I was induced with my first one and was told my contractions were significantly higher than normal, ended up going for a c section, I didn’t dilate past 3 cm. This babe I’ve decided to skip induction all together, if this baby doesn’t want to come on his own then I will go with a csection again. ( I have no shame in trying but also no shame for c section, it doesn’t make me less of a mother) 
That being said, like everything with pregnancy and birth I think it all depends on the mama and the babe, my experience won’t be yours, so if you end up being induced I’d encourage you not to think it’s a negative, go in with a positive and open mind, it is your personal experience and you have every right to experience it!! Everyones induction is different. I personally am refusing to be induced with this one because of my experience with my 1st being induced. If he needs to come out for a medical reason its a c section and if he stays in until 42w its a c section but I will not attempt another induction.

I was induced, and had quite a quick/positive experience with it- 6.5 hours from the start of meds to the actual birth. And despite the intensity of the contractions I still managed an unmedicated labour! 
The actual delivery I had to get an episiotomy due to shoulder dystocia but that would’ve happened regardless because of baby’s size and positioning

I was induced with all 3 kids and will be induced with this one. Ive had great inductions and horrible ones.. My first went amazing. It was long and she did end up in the nicu but it wasn't due to anything they did wrong during the induction. I had to get induced cause she didn't have fluid. My 2nd was quick and beyond amazing! I was in labor for not even 7 hours. My last absolutely horrible... Long and painful... But all honesty I just believe it depends on the pregnancy and the baby...

I was induced, I had the foley ballon and Pitocin. The foley was the most uncomfortable thing in the whole process everything else was a bit too easy I was concerned 😂. I feel very lucky to have the birth I had, started the process around 7pm and he was born at 902 am the next morning. But the first few hours was set up and the doctors coming in and out. I had my epidural around 5cm at about 1-2am. They had to actually stop my Pitocin because it was working too well and too fast. I started pushing to move him down around 845am and he came right out after 3 sessions of pushing 3 times, they had to tell me when my contractions were coming because I felt nothing, I couldn’t move my right leg for about 36 hours. ￼It was super funny my doctor was checking my cervix and I thought she was just asking if I was ready for him in general and my nurse said are you saying that cause he’s ready or?? and my doctor was like yep it time 😂 no tearing or pooping 😂

I had an induction as I dont think it was that bad. It did end in an assisted birth but that was because my baby was BIG and i had problems with his shoulders and it would have been that way if I had gone naturally. I heard horror stories about it taking for ever and being awfully painful. From starting to having him it was 13 hours and the pain was what I imagined not worse. But that what pain relief is for. I had a positive induction and if I had to have one this time I'd be quite happy too. Good luck!!
