I got mirena a little over a month ago and have had the usual spotting and I think I’ve started my first actual period since getting the iud. It’s nowhere near the amount of bleeding as before getting the iud, but I’m cramping so bad. I’ve never had bad cramps except the cramping that comes with getting the iud and the days that followed. This is almost too much for me, but I can’t decide if it is cause for concern. Since I’ve never had bad cramps, I can’t tell if these are really THAT BAD or just worse than I’m used to. It hurts less than getting the iud put in but just barely less.
