How expensive is it to raise a puppy?🐶💜

I'm looking into getting a pup with my fiance. We are torn between 3 breeds; Labrador. Rottweiler. And Bernedoodle.

I've never had pets. My fiance grew up with dogs but of course as a young one wasn't actually responsible for the dog entirely besides a walk here and there or filling their bowls.

These pups in our area run about $1700-2500. Including a one year health check, puppy package, shots, registration, deworming, pee pad trained, socialized with families.

What does your furry friend cost you (please remember that we are looking into a medium large breed dog....so dont tell me that your teacup chihuahua isn't an expensive eater LOL)

Also, give me some ideas on things you'd need but might not think about as new pet owners. I'm simply guessing upfront this pup will run us $1,000 (including those initial one time things like dog beds, leashes, toys, dental snacks, food, dog shampoo, etc).

And then what would the monthly on going costs be?! Just ballpark! Thanks loves

Hoping I dont get hate for this extra tid bit here....but I don't want to adopt a dog and this is my reason why.

My best friend from highschool had two golden retrievers. You know the friendliest family dog ever haha. When one of her dogs passed away, her family quickly adopted another one to help her cope. We are assuming that the adopted dog came from an aggressive abusive home. If you left him alone he was fine. But if you were loud or happened to startle him or were yelling or laughing loud through the house he became very aggressive. Two separate occasions he bit her (she was hospitalized once because he got her artery in her leg) and another time he attacked her dad and he still has the scars on his arm today. So from that particular story I dont want to adopt a dog especially if I dont know the back story associated with it
