Potty training?

Baby number 2 is coming in November and have been thinking about starting potty training my 18 month old! Has anyone else started or have tips for potty training a boy?

I’ve been thinking about it with my 18 month old. She won’t sit on the toilet but shows a lot of interest and mimics wiping, and will pull toilet paper for me and sometimes try to help me wipe, no sense of privacy at all. We got her to indicate to us when she goes poopoo or pee pee when she was around a year which was huge and she’s in cloth diapers so she sees where her waste goes and knows the toilet seat goes down but man the moment you flush that toilet she’s GONE. Hates it.

My oldest son is 3 and now potty trained so my 18mo old is becoming more aware now and wants to sit, so when I take my oldest he comes and sits on the potty afterwards to grasp the concept but he hasn't gone in the potty yet. He is just now getting interested and just now starting to notice that he gets a dirty diaper and doesn't like it and wants to try and pull it off, so baby steps. I would love for him to be trained by 2, but we shall see.
