Anemia anyone? :(

Question

I received a call from my doctor’s office today with the results from my blood work and I have anemia. I’ve never had anemia in my life. I started crying right after hanging up because I try to eat so well. :( I already went to Walgreens to pick up my iron supplements. 
Is anyone else going through the same thing?

I’ve dealt with anemia my whole life and it’s really nothing to worry about. Just take your iron supplements!

I’ve had it for as long as I can remember, and most definitely had it my last pregnancy. It’s not a bad diagnosis, all you gotta do is take the supplements. It’s just like a vitamin and I don’t consider it to be a medication 🤷🏼‍♀️ You’ll be okay mama 💞

No worries, girlfriend. You didn't do anything wrong, it's super common. Everything will be fine 💕 (I have also dealt with it off and on my whole life, also just got the same diagnosis on Friday, so I'm right there with ya)

Super common in pregnancy. I was anemic the first time and I’m anemic this time too. I switched from gummies to regular prenatal that has iron in it. I’m going to try to eat red meat once a week to boost it. If it doesn’t work I’ll do supplements. The iron tabs cause me gi upset and constipation so trying not to go that route

Its super common in pregnancy i had it with my last son. And it went away after i had him. It was good in the beginning of pregnancy and I’m actually waiting to get it tested again.

Same thing! Doc called me Friday saying low iron. Was completely blindsided, have never had iron issues. Also felt emotional because this pregnancy has been pretty rough and have issues, so pretty much after every test I get a call 2 days later about something new. 
Definitely making this last pregnancy count I guess

I’ve been anemic for 6+ years, honestly just take your iron supplement daily and you’ll be fine. I had it through my first pregnancy and currently with this one
