My son has been feeling extra warm to me and a bit more irritable. Yesterday night his temp got to 99.5 (rectal). Called the on call Dr and she said to just keep monitoring him, making sure it doesn’t get too 100.4 and above. He’s eating well, still peeing and pooping well. I can just tell he’s a little off and not feeling his greatest. First time mom, so it really worries me and I know babies this young usually don’t get fevers. Any advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated.

-His temps have been alternating between 97.5 (lowest) and 99.5 (highest) last 24 hours since I’ve noticed he wasn’t acting himself. All taken rectally.
