Who got induced with cytotec / cervadil?

Question

I'm 39 weeks and set up an appointment this Thursday to start getting the ball rolling. The doctor said they start with cytotec or cervadil and sometimes that gets labor started and sometimes it doesn't. I'm dilated 1 cm and 50% effeced, so I have my fingers crossed I have my baby by this weekend 🤞🤞

My lil one is one week. I was 39 weeks induced with cervidil . I was 1 cm before I got to the hospital & made it to 4 before the pitocin. Had to keep it in for 12 hours

I did with my first because my water broke on my due date, but no contractions. It didn’t do anything

Was 41 weeks 4 days went in and cervidil put me into full blown labor. Never needed pitocin. Easy fast labor.

I was given Cervidil but it only made me dilate time 1 cm so then I had a Cook catheter put it and it got me to 4 cm and Pitocin was given as well.

It thru me into full blown labour in under an hour, and I wasn't dilated or effaced at all. Good luck!

I’m going in tomorrow night to start on cervidel since my cervix isn’t doing anything (I’m 41 wks). Pitocin is scheduled for Wednesday morning. Wouldve been tonight/tomorrow but my hospitals L&D was fully booked with inductions for tomorrow. Must be a bunch of stubborn babies and stressed moms with everything going on.

I had 2 doses of cytotec. Didnt progress. Then had cervidil put in twice, still didnt progress. Had a balloon put in that put me to a 4. Then they broke my waters and started me on pitocin. Got the epidural cause the contractions started immediately and very intense. Ended up having an unplanned c section because baby boy wasnt taking the contractions well. Was in labor for 48 hours and then the c section took 15 minutes. Everyone progresses differently though. This was just my experience.
