Mirena
I got the Mirena IUD inserted 2 months ago. Since insertion, I have had the WORST cramps nonstop everyday. I dont know how to explain it but it is like really bad cramps but there is also a slight “burning” sensation in my uterus. On top of that, it occasionally feels like I’m having muscle spasms in my uterus and my lower back hurts like crazy. I have not gotten my period since insertion. There is only occasional weird looking dark brown spotting/discharge.
I went to my 30 day follow up/string check appointment and my doctor told me the IUD was in correctly. She insists that everything Im feeling is normal for the first 6 months and told me to take high doses of Naproxen around the clock for the next couple months. This just doesn’t feel right to me and I’m starting to get worried.
Has anyone else had a similar experience in the first couple months? I don’t want to go back to the doctor just to be told I’m fine but I also don’t want to just keep taking medication to ignore the pain that I am feeling.
