Virtual baby shower 🤨
Okay let’s talk baby shower. I’m still holding out hope for a real baby shower. This is my grandmas first great-grandchild and the first grand baby in my generation of the family on both sides, so everyone is super excited.
But I’m very practical, and I’m a nurse, so I know that the reality of an in-person baby shower is slim. So I want to start to understand what plan B looks like. It likely won’t be safe to have big family gatherings at all this summer. So my thoughts are:
1. Have a very small baby shower with just a few people (literally 10 or fewer). But that will make some people feel excluded, and I just don’t even want to deal with that drama (already dealt with it for my wedding 😒).
2. A virtual baby shower...but how do you even do this? It takes away the celebration part and just feels like you’re asking for gifts. Is that weird?
Anyways...thoughts? What are you all doing?
