I have a 4.5 yr old son. I divorced his dad, now remarried and have an 8 month old with my current. Well my ex wants to come visit our son tonight after he gets off work, I tell him he’s more than welcome to eat here as well, he says he will if he doesn’t get off too late.

So I went ahead and let my son know he was coming to visit and possibly eat dinner, he says “I’m so happy!! Are you so happy?!” I hesitate and say “well... if you’re happy, then I’m happy”

Was that an okay response? My son is very mature for his age, so I’m hoping I didn’t leave him hanging.
