Abandoned kittens
The mama cat never came back. It had been several hours. And several hours after that, I still haven’t seen the mother cat. I hope she is ok.😥 She looked exhausted yesterday. She isn’t my cat, she seems kind of feral or just a bit skittish. But there has been a rather large dog wandering around the neighborhood. I hope she shows up soon. The kittens had been crying.
And plus, there’s snakes under the house where they were born. I’m terrified of snakes, slugs, mice and no telling what else is under the house crawling around 😷 on top of mold or possible asbestos. They had been crying for awhile so I finally decided to get them. I braved myself and put on a mask and got a light and rescued them.
Thankfully my mom had to do her grocery run today, so she got some kitten replacement milk and bottles. I had to use a syringe with a nipple to make sure the kittens were actually ingesting the milk. They got their tummies full and I helped them with bowel movements. So they are napping.
They are Easter babies.
From the little bit I’ve spent with them, I can already get vibes of their personality. The white (M) and gray (F) one are a bit stubborn. One of the orange ones is feisty and tries to hiss. And the other orange one, I’ve been calling him Tubster and Tubz- he likes to eat and weighs half an ounce more than the rest of them. Lol The orange ones are both male.
Anyone else bottle feed kittens? Is the mother going to come back?
