This is my first pregnancy. I was raised by a single mom and swore I would never want kids. 5 years after marrying the love of my life we decided to add on! Before getting pregnant we discussed in depth what his role would be and that this would be a 50/50 adventure.

The only prenatal appointment I really wanted him at was the anatomy ultrasound and my insurance will only pay for it of we do it at the hospital my husband works at which is not letting in "visitors" including dads.

I'm emotional already and the thought of having to do the US without my other half makes me terribly upset and sad. Of course he can be there if we pay for it out of pocket (nearly $1000 where I am) but with the virus and both of us working minimally, that is not financially wise. Sigh.

We cant even facetime for the appointment because we dont have iPhones.

I logically know that this too shall pass and that my husbands presence will not affect the appointment but my pregnancy hormones are not logical and they are currently winning the battle of my mind.
