Has anyone whos experienced miscarriages having a difficult time naming their baby?

I've had two miscarriages before this pregnancy. I've been terrified the whole time I still haven't told most of my friends and family that in pregnant (I'm right at 30 weeks). With my miscarriages I had the babies names picked out before the end of the first trimester. This time has been different... It's like in scared to be happy this time, scared to buy those onsies, and pick out a name. Has anyone else been through this? Any advice? Any baby boy name suggestions?

I had two consecutive miscarriages after my son but before this pregnancy. I had no trouble naming her but I did struggle with buying stuff. When I finally did buy things, I kept all of the receipts in a bag and all of the tags intact, something I never did with my son. I would buy stuff and be like “at least this store allows returns in case something happens again” One day I finally decided that I was getting this baby. I ripped the tags off and threw away all of the receipts. I decided that I wasn’t going to let my past completely ruin my pregnancy experience. I still have fear and scary thoughts, but I don’t let them stop me from preparing for this beautiful blessing I’m about to get. Buy all of the things and name that baby! They will be here before you know it!

I was the same way! Everyone would say “omg we are so excited for you” etc and I would reply “ya we will see”. It actually took my aunt having a heart to heart with me and making me realize I was letting all the joy of this pregnancy slip away. She told me “ you can’t let the enemy steal your joy, that sweet child inside you is such a gift from God, ￼knit together in your womb before you even knew you were pregnant, he knows that child’s name before you ever will, you have to start sitting in the joy this pregnancy” .....I know it’s hard! I lost my son to a late term miscarriage. Something I never thought I would experience. It took me months to start actually buying things. And then once bought I would actually keep everything in bags as if I would eventually return them. But I can honestly say I’m grateful for this shelter in place. I know I know, weird but it forced me to start on the nursery and buy all the thing and yes my husband and I named our baby girl! And told people her name. Which was hard and yet so freeing and nice. I’ll be praying for you and your sweet boy. The lord will sustain his life and he’ll be in your arms before you know it with the most perfect name 💙

I had two miscarriages before this. Name the baby, buy ALL the onesies, and tell your friends and family. I was terrified to announce at the beginning. I know it’s scary, but you’ve been through too much to not be able to celebrate this.

We miscarried last July at 16 weeks. It has been very hard. Personally, it’s hard for me to be happy. I get so happy and excited then this little voice in my head says “but wait something could happen.” I truly try everyday to say to myself “this is happening and we are having a healthy baby born in July.” But some days it’s hard and doesn’t help. It’s hard to be happy when you know it can so easily be taken away. I always tell people though because I learned, something can happen at ANY point. If you want to tell everyone, shout it to the world. If it makes you feel better keeping it a secret, keep your secret. I feel for you and understand what you’re feeling. I feel it everyday. It took me a very long time to buy anything and I still haven’t taken clothes out, tags off, etc. I hope things mentally get better for you. ❤️

I had two miscarriages before this one.  One chemical one missed miscarriage. I named them after it happened. This one I gave a "Heaven name" to almost immeaditly. It gave me comfort and took the pressure off of coming up with a name. I would throw out a few names to my husband to try to get a gauge on what he was thinking. We went into second trimester liking Elanore (my grandmother's name) and he had to think about if a boy got his name (would be 4th generation).

One of the only things I've found easy if I'm honest. Struggling with awful antenatal anxiety though, even to the point of having extra appointments just to check in.
