I personally never get the flu shot. I giggled a little to myself at my appt yesterday when the NP asked if I have gotten it this season and told her I dont get flu shots. I was waiting for them to push it like they always do bc I was going to politely say the flu at this point is the least of our worries for viruses lol.  She didnt push it at all though I think they already realize that.

I might ask to get mine a little earlier, like in mid September, but I’ll get it. 
Babe can’t get a flu shot until 6 months and I’m expecting this to be a very bad year with everything going on. 
I will also be requiring any family who will see us regularly to have the shot, going as far as requiring proof from some, like my dad and his family, who are semi against them, I have siblings in school and I’m not chancing them bringing anything to us. 
If they choose to not get the shot, I’m going to ask they respectfully wait until Spring to visit. 
I’m not forcing them, or being rude but I’m not willing to compromise on the health of my baby.

I’m in AUS, so flu season will hit around the 6 month mark for me.
While I don’t normally get the flu shot, ill be doing it while pregnant, because:
1) the risk of complications from influenza is higher while pregnant (it hits you harder)
2) if I get a nasty bout of flu that causes fever, could raise risk of miscarriage
3) with influenza AND covid-19, and one of those not having any vaccine options at all; I want to minimise the risk of ALL respiratory illness. If I’m unlucky enough to get covid, then at least I’ve done what I can to avoid getting a double whammy with the flu too.

I use to get the flu shot every year because I work in healthcare and still got sick. When I met my fiancé he never got one and when we had our daughter he begged me not to let her get it and I did behind his back and she almost died from it. We had to take her the hospital 3 times because she ran a fever for 9 days straight and was convulsing if she wasn’t asleep which was 90% of the time. Would barely take a bottle, it was miserable and I was so scared. She broke out in a rash towards the end of the 9 days and her doctor finally realized that she was allergic to the vaccine. I won’t get it while I’m pregnant with this one but once I’m not pregnant I most likely will to protect my family as much as I can since I work in a nursing home.

No way! Haven’t had one for 14yrs as I had severe vomiting and diarrhoea straight after the flu shot. If you eat a healthy whole food clean diet you shouldn’t need one. And you should be supplementing with all natural supplements to support your immune system anyway. I don’t see the point of putting a flu virus in a body when it’s perfectly fine. And it’s not like we can go anywhere anyway to be in contact with people 🤷🏼‍♀️. So that’s a no from me 🙅🏼‍♀️

I put yes...I had one last pregnancy when I was 7 ish months. I already had one this winter/spring so idk if I get another in the fall or not 🤔

They gave me one when I had my first appointment. I'm not 100 % comfortable with them but I probably will.
Ive heard of people requiring their family members to get the flu shot before seeing the baby and I know my family will have a field day if I try and enforce that
