Brushing teeth ?

Guys I need help! My lo refuses to let me brush her teeth! As soon as I get it, she freaks out. I let her watch me and she laughs but when I try she shuts her mouth so tight and wontlet me . It’s becoming traumatic! What can I do?

I let mine do it himself. Where or not he actually brushes his teeth, at least he’s getting used to it so he won’t refuse when he gets older.

You should create a routine and try singing a song while brushing. “This is the way we brush our teeth...” is what i sing to my daughter while brushing.

We watch Elmo brush your teeth video while brushing. It had helped distract him.

My LO is the same way. I struggle every time. She will shut her mouth the minute that tooth brush gets close to her mouth. I try my best in brushing but I usually lose that battle and just let her naw on the toothbrush and let her do it herself. There are times though that I put her in front of the mirror that hangs on her closet door and brush my teeth to show her how to brush her teeth. And she usually tries to copy. I take whatever I can get at this point haha. I’m just happy that she will hold her toothbrush in her mouth.

So I’ve tried to let her do it- she always plays with the brush—- I have her watch me and she doesn’t get it. Also—- she still gets a bottle before nap and bed— how do I even attempt to brush after that ???? She is like fast asleep .

I let my son watch Netflix on my phone while I brush them 🙈 it's the only screen time he gets, works like a charm

Maybe let him try to brush yours? Lately my son fusses a ton when i try to comb his hair unless i let him comb mine... which he obvi isn’t really doing but he thinks he is hah.
Think they just want to help more these days
