Life after genital herpes diagnosis?

Ive been learning about my body for the past 3 months and based on what I know, I've confirmed my 2nd outbreak. Really small sores but still irritating. It has taken a toll on my self esteem and I feel guilty for even spreading my legs at this point. I try to tell myself "people have it, yours just shows". Can I get some words of encouragement about love, relationships, self esteem, children, etc?????😔
*also how do I bring this up to my last partner? Its weighing heaving on me and I wouldn't have had sex with him if I hadn't been misdiagnosed.

It takes time to work through your diagnosis. I feel it’s normal to have a mixture of feelings, concerns and regrets. 
Ignore the stigma because when actually telling a potential partner they didn’t suddenly seem horrified or anything. 
Past partners just be upfront with... You made a decision to get tested and this being the outcome that they deserve to know about. You didn’t know then so you really can’t hold that over yourself. 
In the beginning, the diagnosis is like is a loud screeching noise. Over time it gets quieter. Sometimes I forget I have it until I get that occasional outbreak... then it’s like alrighty let’s heal this bitch and move on. Lol

I’m 25 and I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. It crushed me. My outbreaks were very frequent. I would get over one and a week later another would start. I was terrified to date, to tell people.
I am now married. I am pregnant. I have had a full and satisfying sex life with a few partners that were kind, supportive and more than understanding. I started suppressive therapy (daily valtrex) and now have an outbreak MAYBE once every 3-4 months and it’s very mild. I will more likely than not be able to have this baby vaginally, at home even. 
It does get better. It does get easier. I still struggle with feeling down about it once in awhile but I have really came to terms with it and realized that it is such a small thing in the grand scheme of things. 
And people react SO MUCH BETTER when you are 100% upfront and honest from the get go. Even if I hadn’t decided I wanted to sleep with someone yet i told them. I didn’t want to waste my time or theirs. I would explain it to them and let them know they can ask questions and I would be happy to answer them. 
Just be kind to yourself, always. You are not less because of it!

It’s not easy but it can on get easy if you make it that way. It took a lot of prayer and hope for me. I’ve had them since 2016 and lost all hope. I just knew I wasn’t normal anymore and who would even take a chance on me? But trust and believe, you are still able to live, love, have a life and have children. I have some information I can direct you too if you are interested in finding love or making friendships with people who are suffering from this.
