How soon did you go out?

My friend has purchased tickets for me and her to see a band I love, and they hardly ever play around here. Unfortunately the concert got postponed due to Covid. The new date is mid October, I am due in June so baby will be roughly 4 months old. My friend was asking if I'd still want to go, otherwise she was going to get a refund. I'm not sure if I'd be ready for a night out when baby was only 4 months old...how soon did you go out after baby arrived?

Both my kids stayed overnight with my parents at 4 months. Granted, both times were for funerals, but still. I don’t think a night out is a big deal at all.

I went out a few times from around 3 months old (especially as she was an extremely difficult baby-colic) but it was never overnight it was only a few hours for dinner or a film etc. Left her overnight at about 11 months and I cried all night ☹️ it’s more difficult depending on if your breastfeeding or not too

So we went out when my daughter was 4 months old BUT I put her to bed and was home before she woke up for her night feed. So really, my MIL just had to watch a monitor lol

My baby is 4 months old & we’ve left her with my mom (before COVID-19) for a few hrs while we went on a date, but I haven’t left her to stay the night anywhere. We are talking about her possibly staying the night with her after this all gets over with though (we want to paint a few rooms)

Still haven’t and he’s 2 years old. My friends gf has gone out multiple times and they have a 3 week old. Guess everyone’s different

I had a night out about 3 weeks in? It was just dinner and drinks for a friend’s bday, nothing crazy. I had a c section so probably wouldn’t have been up for a concert. At 4 months I was already sent on a 3 day work trip away from baby, so to me, a night out at that time seems totally normal and necessary.

I had a night out before 4 months. I think maybe 2 months. If you’re going home after, I don’t see the big deal. If you breastfeed, you may also have to take a pulp break if you’re out for awhile.
