Braxton Hicks?

Can someone explain to me what these feel like? I’m a first timer, and I’m feeling a lot of abdominal cramping rn. Much above my belly button. 23 weeks & 4 days. No idea if it’s BH or what

I would explain as that the tightening of the whole belly feels like you can’t relax your belly and it feels hard from the outside. indeed not painful, maybe a little at some places as it continues for a longer time, but definitely really uncomfortable. If you stop what your doing, sit or lay down and relax it should go away. If you pushed yourself for a long time and have felt the tightening for a longer period of time it also takes more relaxing time and maybe some deep breathing to get the belly relaxed again.

It’s like a really uncomfortable tightening of your belly. I get it in my whole belly and it will feel like a lot of pressure is building up in your stomach. For me it feels kinda heavy too. They should not be painful and there should not be any leaking of fluid or blood with them. Real labor pains are more like lower cramps (think bad period cramps) that hunch you over and start and stop with regular timing. This is just a tightening and is uncomfortable and will go away eventually when you drink some water or rest. They are a good thing- getting your body ready.

I don’t remember having them with my first. But today has been really tough for me. A lot of tightening more than usual and some cramps. He has been up in my ribs all day so having rib pains too and he has been non stop kicking all day. I don’t know how to explain Braxton Hicks cuz I’m not sure I ever had them but the tightening I’m feeling reminds me of my early labor cramps but they have been higher up today.
