Teething or Sick ?

Babygirl (3m) has had a fever for 2 days already took her to the pediatrician today and they said everything looks good no ear infection or anything like that lungs are clear nose is clear but she’s had a fever the highest it’s gone was 100.9 and I’ve gotten her back down to 98.4 her normal temp we’ve been giving her infants pain and fever medicine which seems to help but her fever goes back up . She had been drooling excessively for I want to say a few weeks and fussy the past 2 days . Pediatrician said she can see shadows in her gums I’m guessing teeth but that it could also just be a little cold she has or virus . Does it sound like teething or actually sick ?
