Soft served ice cream? Yes or no?

Can you have soft served ice cream while pregnant? I’ve read articles that it’s a risk that it can have listeria because of the temperature it’s stored at?

I personally wouldnt. Theres actually a higher risk of listeria in soft ice cream than in cold lunch meat. Theres pretty frequent recalls on store bought ice cream. And then theres the concern with places like DQ and the cleanliness of their machines. It's not worth the risk to me.

I wouldn't. Those machines are disgusting. McDonalds machine takes hours to clean, hence why their always "broken" (either being cleaned or shut down because they need to be cleaned).

I have gotten sick from eating soft serve from Arby’s, so I personally do not eat it anymore while pregnant.

They say not to bc the machines can be dirty-  but I honestly don’t see the difference between those machines and fountain soda machines, and I’ve never read that you can’t have fountain soda. 
I think as long as the place you go is clean and trustworthy I’d say go for it. I love soft serve vanilla with chocolate sprinkles and I can’t imagine going the entire summer without having some - I mean come on I’ll be super pregnant and hot and hungry 😂
