Postponing wellness visit?

Anyone postponing their 1 year check up? If so how long. I know my doctors office is doing all wellness checks before 11 am but still. I’d rather wait it out a couple weeks.

We are postponing the one year wellness visit-our pediatrician said 12 month shots can even be pushed back to 15 month checkup if preferred. I felt the same way you do! I am not taking a healthy baby to a Drs facility right now if I don’t need to.

Nope. The practice I take my son to has completely separated everyone, you’re only in waiting for a few minutes while the MA gets your paperwork together to assign you a room. A lot of visits have been switched to telelhealth appointments so there’s less people in the office for the ones that can’t be done remotely. It’s important to me that my son is current on all of his vaccinations. If we didn’t need vaccines at this one I might consider pushing it later since he’s developing and seems to be healthy. But I’m not risking another outbreak of something different, or him getting a worse illness bevause he’s not current on his shots.

I postponed my kids appt in March (late 9 month & 2.5 yr appt) I’ll take them when all of this is over. They’re healthy so I’m not concerned and can catch up on vaccines in a month or so. I’ll probably just take her for her year appt (May 22nd baby) and end up skipping the 9 month that I missed.

We have kaiser and they actually sent a letter stating they are holding off on any non emergency appointments. 
So I am planning to schedule her appointment towards the end of May (she’s May 1st baby) or early June. 
Shes had all her shots up until now. I have a 4 year old as we’ll, so it’s not easy to “not touch anything” as we are out. So I try not to bring my kids out unless I absolutely have too. 
But to each their own, do what you feel is best!

I'm just planning to go by what the office suggests. Havent heard anything about postponing or canceling appointments yet.

No I’m not postponing, our office has no sick visits only over telehealth visits, extra cleaning procedures, masks required, wait in car until called for appointment. I don’t see a point in rescheduling when we don’t know what it will be like a month or even weeks from now, plus it’s one of the cleanest places to go right now honestly I feel a grocery store has more risk

Nope. My office is taking all precautions and they have advised all vaccinations be kept on schedule to prevent an outbreak of one of those diseases. I’d also prefer any early intervention ASAP if needed.

We’re not, my daughters is May 18th and her office is taking every precaution imaginable, including not allowing sick patients inside and having you wait in the car until a room is ready. They are recommending anyone under 3 keep up with their well checks so we are going to go
