Do you think it’s ‘ugly’ or ‘manly’ for women to have hairy arms?

I was kind of shocked when about a year ago this guy I know was talking about how he doesn’t like arm hair on girls especially when it’s dark. Since I went to an all girls school for years I was mostly sheltered from this kind of thinking.

I think it’s crazy, arm hair is natural and even kept by plenty of models, so it’s not shunned by society the same way a leg hair. It’s always dark hair that people seem to be offended by as well, blonde hair is somehow more acceptable, more invisible.

I myself am fairly hairy armed (and bodied in general) being from a country with Mediterranean and Middle Eastern lineage, where we’re all pretty hairy ladies so I’ve grown up with hairy arms being normalised.
