So my husband & I are trying to get a bigger home since the one we live @ is a 1 bedroom & we have 2 kids under 2. And i guess my moms trying to look around for a home as well . 
Today she asks if my husband has good credit and i say “yes, but we have to double check...” then she says “can u let me know when u guys find out” 
Ughhh i know she’s going to want to use his but what do i say....

No don’t let your mom use his name for anything when you’re home shopping. I also wouldn’t answer questions like that. I don’t share my husband’s credit score info or share much about our finances to anyone, family included.

As someone who worked in banking for years, for the love of god don’t co-sign for any family member’s loans, etc. That is trouble waiting to happen. Like someone else said, you don’t know what you’ll need for your own household so you definitely don’t need your debt/income ratios being thrown off because of someone else.
