I got mine ParaGard IUD back in March 2019. This stuff keeps popping up on my Facebook and it’s got me all concerned now 😥

There can be complications with any iud. Such as that or it perforating the uterus, etc. They are rare though but it should have been discussed with your dr

Yes its one of the rare things that can happen. It can even happen with the arm implant it can imbed or break as well.

When I had mine put in, they couldn't get the placement right. They put one in, and took it out. Put another one in, and took it out. The second ones arm was broken, thankfully it was still attached to the main stem

I had mine in for almost a year before I started having excruciating pain in my pelvic region, could barely walk or do much of anything. I went to ob to check out the iud see if it was causing my pain when they did the exam they couldn’t find the strings, I said okay that sometimes happens, they check with the intravagional ultrasound and once again “ oh, I don’t see it anywhere” 
So from there I’m freaking out, where is it? Did it fall out? Is it so we here in me?! They scheduled me for ultrasound and yet again “it’s no where to be found” so then I’m sent to x ray and once that it finally over she said, “would you like to see where your iud is?” It was in my fucking pelvis 
Perforated through my uterus and fallopian tube ￼and had punctured internal organs causing internal bleeding which was leading to organs to become squished and there causing the excruciating pain I was in.. had to be rushed into surgery to get it removed and the moment the thing was out the releif I felt was amazing. They had sucked all the blood out from my organs, two months after it was removed I got pregnant with m second
