Snoo Bassinet

Question

Have you guys had in past or purchasing this time around? Know anyone that has used it and recommends? I cant see spending that much on a bassinet but renting it doesn’t seem like a bad option. Thoughts?

I have the Snoo and I have both rented and purchased. I can honestly say I recommend it wholeheartedly, more than any other baby item I had. It was a sanity SAVER and is so safe and hassle free and I just L-O-V-E it. My was purchased outright for us by my family as a gift. They waited for a 30% off sale and had some other coupon so it cost somewhere between $700-$800 I believe. If you’re deciding to rent or buy, do some math and thinking about how you’re going to use it. Are you going to have more than one baby? Are you going to use it the full six months or a lesser amount? Do you have other friends that may want to “go in” on a group purchase? Are you savy at reselling? I say all this because the cost of the rental, plus the cleaning fee, ends up only being $200 or so (I don’t remember exactly, could be as little as $120 or as much as $320) less than purchasing. I used my Snoo for slightly over 6 months. Then it was loaned to two friends who got the amazing experience for free. It was just shipped back last week and I’m due in August for baby #2. So for our family, it was a lot more economical to buy. I remember when the rental came out I was SO excited, but when i priced it as a gift for a friend I realized how much better of a savings buying could be. I will say, their product support is unreal they are SO helpful, and the rental was hassle free and worth the money. I guess if you’re on the fence about Snoo generally, rent because it’s less of a commitment. But maybe ask them if you love it if there’s a way to purchase the rental from them and apply the rental toward the purchase. Do it!! Our 4 week old has been in the Snoo for almost a week now, and we are loving it. This is baby #2 and we feel silly for not having gotten it the first time around! We decided to rent it since we know we’ll only use it for four months total and aren’t sure if we’ll have more kids. 
I think it works well for babies who 1) like motion and 2) are gaining weight well (this is so you don’t have to worry about waking them to eat... a friend who it didn’t work for had a tiny baby who really struggled to gain weight.) 
They’re running 20% off for Mother’s Day, so it may be worth it to buy for the $1000 or so, and then resell later (from what I’ve seen people are able to sell for between $600-800).
