Does this seem normal?

Is this a normal amount of hair to lose during one shower? I feel like it’s been excessive lately. My son is two so I don’t think it’s postpartum hair loss. I should add that my last two periods have been unusually light. I’m also not pregnant.

Depends on your hair and if it's normal for you. I lose twice that at least every shower, and postpartum I was losing enough that I had to clear the drain mid shower or it started filling up around my feet 🤦‍♀️ but I have a lot of thick, bum length hair. If it's not normal for you I'd wonder if it was nutritional or stressed related x

Depends. Are you on any medications? Are you stressed? Do you go several days between shampoos? If you do, it could just be normal shedding but look like more since you don’t shampoo daily (this is the case for me). If not, I would say no. If it keeps happening, contact your doctor for blood work. It could be your thyroid. It could be a deficiency of some kind. Lots of things.

Do you take a daily multivitamin?  Any diet changes?  How about stress?

maybe try a different shampoo/ conditioner, personally i have to use a different set for the hotter months vs the colder months.

Could be low iron. Or another vitamin/mineral deficiency. I have low iron and always have tons of hair loss.
