Is it normal to feel pain during ovulation ?

My lower abdominal feels bloated and heavy. Same as when I’m about to start my period. It was hurting on the left side, I thought it was trapped gas or something. Do to the contracting pain I was feeling. However I couldn’t make a bowel movement, so I knew it wasn’t that. 
I did however test my opk and got a positive. So I baby danced again and that too was a little painful.  No my stomach is just bloated and mild cramps here and there. Further my niece is randomly running around telling everyone there is a baby in my stomach. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

I could always feel the side I ovulated from, super crampy. But when your egg is released from a follicle then a corpus luteal cyst forms where the follicle was. The corpus luteal cyst produces progesterone for two weeks until either pregnancy or period happens. The progesterone can make you bloated and crampy ("pre period symptoms", or "early pregnancy symptoms") but the cyst itself can also make you achy on one side.

Yes, I am the same. Last cycle, it was a super heavy feeing in my pelvic region. I am getting close to ovulation soon and have been feeling "crampy" today.
