Should we do NIPT if we had genetic testing?

Hi ladies! My husband and I had genetic testing done as recommended by our RE due to multiple losses. We were not carriers for the same disorders, so we were told everything looked good to continue trying. We recently got pregnant with an IUI, and I’m wondering if we should do the NIPT test also. Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks!

I asked this same question a few months ago about my PGT-A tested baby and the overwhelming lay and professional consensus was to proceed with NIPT. Apparently it detects additional abormalities.

I had prior genetic testing and a PGS tested embryo, and our RE said that they continue to routinely recommend the NIPT for patients.

I’m in your same position! We had it done by the RE along the journey, not carriers and now we are pregnant with twins. Ultimately it’s your decision; we decided to do it (this Tuesday actually) only because the trisomy’s and Down syndrome can happen to anyone. Plus you get the early gender results and I am SO EXCITED!!
