How long after having baby did you start doing house cleaning?

I had a natural delivery and I did tear up a little so I’m trying to take it easy atleast a week or 2 just wondering how long did it take you to start doing house cleaning? In my culture we are not supposed to do anything at all just be in bed and care for the baby but for me that’s impossible as I have 3 other kids to take care of but my mom who keeps insisting I shouldn’t even be washing dishes she says it’s bad for me and I don’t know what else

I started cleaning my house probably the next day after I got home. Nothing crazy. Washed the dishes, swept, washed some clothes

I was forced to take it easy for the first three weeks. After the first week I did some laundry and maybe some dishes, by I was very fortunate to have my mom with me the first three weeks.

I tidied up (made the bed, picked up after myself, light dishwashing) but my partner handled the sweeping, mopping, cooking, laundry, trash, just about everything for the first two weeks. If you can, let a female relative stay with you to help, or let the older kids stay with somebody else or help more around the house.

My husband helped with trash, vacuuming and cleaning the tubs the first week home but I went back to doing everything (except the trash) soon after that. My mom was in town and helped with a lot the first week out. Listen to your body and if you overdo it, be sure you’re more careful the next time. I had really bad scarring because I did too much to soon- not necessarily with cleaning but just in general. Wish I would have taken a bit more time letting my body heal.

Well I luckily cleaned my house the night before going to the hospital (not planned, just worked out in my favor) but I cleaned my house again at about a week post partum.

I'd say listen to your body. Some can do hardcore cleanings the same day others take days/weeks. With my first I started cleaning (dishes, vacuuming, bathroom) after 5 days. Woth my second I did the same day. Both were vaginal births with little tearing on first and no tearing on second (well just a little scrape nothing thatd need stitching).

Immediately. I can’t stand for things to get super messy. We had issues before I went on covid leave because of clutter. I never had time to really clean or straighten anything. I worked hard for a month trying to get things in order and I can’t let them slip again. I do have a 4 year old and 19 month old that are with me all the time and a 12,11 & 6 year old that come over every other weekend, and since school is out, pretty much whenever they want lately. Not to mention, the only other female in the house is my 4 year old. Boys are messy and have no concept of it at all. My husband tries to help but he’s better at keeping the kids distracted while I do the picking up and cleaning. 
Anyway, I definitely don’t recommend doing too much if you can help it. If you have the opportunity and help to relax, take it.

I clean the day I came home I had a c-section but I came home to a dirty house. I don't suggest doing that though lol I regretted it after the pain meds wore off. I would say do it when your feeling ready to. I didn't listen to the doctors, for a few weeks I had to just lay or sit down and take care of baby. Just don't overdue it, if your mom can come by and help you that would be nice.
