Sleep Training?

Question

Any co sleeping moms start sleep training? When and how??

We are trying to transition but my separation anxiety is so bad I went got her out of the crib in the middle of the night. Last night was our first night trying the crib besides naps. It’s just hard because she wakes herself up if he paci falls out

We didn’t start sleep training because we co slept but our daughter was waking an hour after putting her down for the night and then was up at all hours needing her pacifier and then finally after a few hours a bottle. I got to the point I was so tired of going in and giving her her pacifier every 10 minutes (because she’d cry in our arms too. She just wasn’t settled). I did end up having her cry it out a bit. Nothing super long. Started with 5 minutes, went in gave her her pacifier and comforted her (without picking her up) and the next i let her go 10 minutes. And one one night we did have to attempt the 15 minute cry but she didn’t last that long before falling asleep. We’ve only done it a few times and she’s actually Been doing well now.

We’ve co slept since basically the beginning. I’ve tried getting her to sleep in the crib and bassinet so many times and it was always a nightmare. I always just ended up giving up and putting her back in bed with me. Last night was actually the first time she slept all by herself all night. We didn’t do any kind of sleep training. I nursed her and rocked her until she was about to fall asleep, gave her the pacifier, and laid her down in the pack n play. Then I just sang to her and rubbed her head until she finally fell asleep. She woke up crying super often until around 11pm, and then she finally fell asleep for the night. Slept until almost 8am. She did the same thing tonight. Fussed and woke up frequently until 11, and then she was down (hopefully) for the night. 
Sleep is completely developmental. Some babies take longer than others to be ready to sleep in their own. Just keep trying, but remember that sleep is essential. Do what you’ve gotta do for now, and just remember that your LO will get there eventually.

Kinda? I'm in week 1 of laying babe down while drowsy and sitting near his crib until he falls asleep. I was having to rock him to sleep after feeding for an hour+. I wasn't ok with cry it out so the first night he needed a paci and chest lats until he fell asleep. Now on day 5 he only needs to see me sitting next to the crib and he'll fidget around and rub his face until he oits himself to sleep. Paci is still hit or miss if he wants or needs it but he's definitely getting better. I'm out of the room in 15 to 30min now instead of my hour.
