Baby acne thoughts?

My little girls baby acne seems to get worse after breastfeeding. I’m currently on antibiotics could there be a link? I’m washing her face with water and applying breast milk

My babies had the same thing. It’s from the oils off your baby’s head falling into the face which causes this. I was prescribed a medication to bathe my babies hair with. It’s basically cradle cap so you just need the shampoo to dry the oils out! As soon as I started the medication it went away within that week!

Food allergy to whatever you are eating! 1. Call the pediatrician. 2. Try to eliminate milk for m your diet. If it doesn't work try bread. Those are the two most common allergies. My son had super bad reactions to foods I ate. I had a very strict diet. But I am also allergic to a lot of things too. So it wasn't a surprise to me.

Oatmeal baths. Stop kissing face , Aveeno soap & lotion lavender scent or unscented.

Small amounts of antibiotics do pass through in the breast milk. I would start your baby on a probiotic because a disruption in their gut microbiome can lead to digestion problems and skin issues. I also agree to see a doctor. If you are worried about a milk allergy I would refrain from putting the milk on the rash until you have ruled that out.

It could be possible the antibiotic is causing it? I’m sure your doctor wouldn’t knowingly prescribe you something that would cause an allergic reaction though 🤔 I would definitely call and see. I know I couldn’t take an antibiotic orally when I was breastfeeding.

In NZ we have a special formulated cream called QV cream for bubs with very dry skin. Maybe you guys have something similar in the UK?
