Night time potty training

Chelsea

So my son who will be four in august has been potty trained for a while . But only during day he is still wearing pull ups at night and waking up with them wet . I thought during quarantine I would try to work on that since I’m off work so he went like two good nights in underwear - but other than that every night peeing - I limit liquids and wake him up in middle of night to go but seems I just still end up with him peeing . Any advice

Once he starts waking up dry, then start potty training over night!

I’m not pushing the issue with my 4 yo. She’s pretty much never had an accident during the day but sleeps in a pull up every night and wakes up wet almost every day (but we also don’t limit liquids or even force her to use restroom before bed). My motto is when they are ready they will let you know. Otherwise I’m not pushing the issue.

If he knows he has to keep his underwear dry maybe get rid of the pull ups completely and put him in underwear at bedtime. Offer him a small treat every morning he keeps his underwear dry.

I didn't push the issue with my daughter, she's 4 Aug. 23. I noticed on the camera she's been getting up most nights to go potty by herself and going back to sleep on her own and she's been waking up with dry pull ups so we switched to underwear overnight. She had an accident this morning but that's ok. Accidents happen . We aren't going back to diapers but I limit her drinks before bed and have her try and use the bathroom before bed
