My ring was over $11K but that probably wouldn’t be reasonable to everyone. Basically whatever you can afford without a loan or going into credit card debt.

My ring was $10,000 which is way more than I would have spent but it was my husband money so he can spend how he wants. My wedding band was only $300. we got them recently appraised and my engagement ring is now valued at about $12,500. My wedding band is now $150. You get what you pay for.

My husband had a good year, the year he proposed. Lol. My engagement ring was around $35,000 and my wedding band was $6900. The e ring was way more than i expected.

My husband bought the ring he wanted at a price he wanted to pay. He actually complains a little because he would have spent more but I always told him I didn't care about the engagement ring, just the band. He spent 3700 on the engagement ring and I think the wedding ring was 2000. I would have been happy with anything he gave me, no matter the cost. The fact that he picked it out and I didn't even know we were getting engaged was PRICELESS.

Everyone’s budget is different depending on their circumstances. 
My engagement ring was around £1500 but that was before kids etc. If we got engaged now it would probably be a cheaper ring.
