Just wanted to give some hope for Azoospermia
We found out back in late 2018 that my husband has Azoospermia, and found out last year it was because of genetics (he is a CF gene carrier so missing his Vas Deference)
As you can imagine this was really really hard to hear and to get our heads around. But in December (after waiting 6months as the urologist forgot to put him on the surgical list) he had a TESA surgery to remove sperm, this was extremely successful and we got 5 straws full of very active good quality sperm (we only took from one side to prevent a longer down time)
Fast forward to February 2020 we started our first round of
ICSI, I’m actually surprised at how easy I found the whole process of shots and and egg recovery. We transferred a perfect Day 3 embryo (we where told it was perfect so no point leaving it in a dish may as well get it back to where it belongs) and low and behold that little embryo stuck in good. I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant with a very wriggly healthy looking baby.
The reason for this post is to try and give people who are going through Azoospermia some hope that you can get your baby. Yes it’s a long, stressful and scary road but it’s definitely worth it.
If anyone has any questions for me about our journey feel free to comment or message me.
Good luck to everyone on the bumpy ride 🤞🏼🤗
