Fetal Doppler?

Question

I am trying to decide if I want to get a Doppler. I want to get one so my boyfriend can hear the baby’s heartbeat (he hasn’t heard it yet.) But I am afraid it’ll cause more harm than good, especially if I have a hard time finding the heartbeat.

I just got mine and plan to use it only 1x a week just so I can enjoy my babys heart beat. I'm enjoying it. I'm 17 weeks

I got one as I had a previous miscarriage and thought it was ease my anxiety. I feel like it has helped sometimes but not others. On my 12 week appt my midwife couldn’t find the heartbeat but I found it with mine at home. Then I had spotting and I couldn’t find it but my midwife did... then I found it again and a week later couldn’t find it 😩 I think maybe cuz I have an anterior placenta maybe it’s harder? Anyways if you can get it but be comfortable to not stress if you can’t find it then I would get one. The sonolin B comes recommended and isn’t too expensive

I waited until 10 weeks and found baby's heartbeat pretty easily and I'm plus size.

I started using mine at 12 weeks...it was tough to find and was super low, but now at 15 weeks I have no problem finding it. I would get one! I LOVE mine. My husband and I listen to our baby's heartbeat once a week, the day I move into the next week of pregnancy. With our first, my husband never missed an appointment. Now without being able to go with me, we have the doppler which has really helped us both feel better about missing him appointments and I think it makes him feel.more connected 😊🥰 I would totally go for it!

I have one and absolutely love it. Heard our little girl at about 10 weeks and haven't had issue....but my sister is 15 weeks and still hasn't been able to find her little one on her own . Depends if you can deal with not finding it without freaking out.

The farther along you are, the easier it gets to find. I can find it immediately now, but weeks ago it took over an hour. I don't use it every day but if I'm nervous for any reason I can check. I am glad I have it!

I love mine. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos so I knew what I was hearing and where to look. I started using it before 15 weeks and was surprised by how low the baby was, and still is. I use it twice a week to ease my worries.
