Hyaluronic acid burning??

I recently bought nutrogenas hyaluronic acid water gel moisturizer because I’ve heard it’s good for acne prone skin. But every time I wash my face and apply the moisturizer, it stings my skin. Mainly where I’m prone to getting dry at, around my mouth and cheek and nose area. It never burns my forehead because it’s always oily, but my dry parts of my face burn when I apply it. Do I just need to find a different moisturizer or what’s causing this? 😭 just trying to get a good routine down that keeps my hormonal acne down a little and nothing agrees with my skin. HELPPP

Make sure your face is a lil damp and not dry when you put it on. That type of acid only works when there’s water to grab onto

The more damaged parts of your skin are going to be more sensitive to a lot of things. I have dry patchy skin sometimes if I let my skin get bad and my products I normally use will sting until my skin gets better.

I don’t think a moisturizer is supposed to sting. I would find something else.
I use Derma E’s hyaluronic acid spray and it’s never stung.
