Gestational diabetes second time
Hi all, I had gestational diabetes with my son, I just got tested again and have it again with this new pregnancy. I thought I remembered most of it but can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I took my blood sugar one hour after breakfast this morning and it is saying it’s 177!! It should be below 140! I had two eggs with spinach and a little cheese and one slice of bread (made sure it’s whole grain and low sugars/carbs). This is what I ate every morning my first pregnancy and I never was that high! I’m freaking out. This is my first day testing so I know I need to just keep trying but I really don’t want to have to go on medicine! And definitely don’t want to eventually have to go on insulin, anyone have any insight?? Or a specific brand of bread the recommend?
