Interior decorating.... please help!!

Sorry if this is in the wrong group. I’m not sure where to post it.

I’m far from creative, especially when it comes to interior decorating. We have dark brown paneling in our livingroom. I’ve looked on Pinterest and Google for ideas on how to decorate these walls. I’m not seeing anything that jumps out at me. I love crosses and Fleur de lis. I have pictures of my kids I can hang, but haven’t bought any frames yet, because I don’t know what color or style I should get. I’ve been thinking white would be best, but I don’t know. I also found a white mirror that I love but didn’t get it because I don’t know what to do with it. I don’t like a bunch of stuff (clutter) so I think that’s one reason pushing me back too. I need ideas, please! My walls are so bare.
