1st Time Mom ❤️ What should go on my registry?

Hey 👋🏽 I could use a little help with my registry, I don’t want to put a whole bunch of useless stuff, that I’ll never need/use. Any suggestions or recommendations? What are some of your newborn must haves? Or anything you think will be helpful to me as a first time mom. 
My parents haven’t had babies in 20+ years. So a fresh set of eyes wouldn’t hurt.

Love to Dream swaddles are the best! They zipper up, we hated the loud Velcro ones. They keep the baby's arm up but swaddled in still. My last baby loved them!

Definitely put all the big stuff on there. People are generous and pool their money into larger gifts like the crib, high chair, car seat, stroller, etc. 
-Swaddles with Velcro are lifesavers for sleepy night time feedings and changings. 
-Also a few different types of pacis, cause baby will most likely try out a few before choosing his/her favorite. 
-A baby wrap or sling if you’re interested in baby wearing. 
- a swing or bouncer for when you need to put baby down for a little bit 
- if you’re breastfeeding, put nipple cream, nursing pads, etc. on there to take care of you!
- diapers in various sizes (you can always return for another size if baby grows out of it too quick), and wipes! 
- activity mat for tummy time
Clothes aren’t really necessary to put on there unless you have a specific style you’re going for, people will buy them to go along with their gift cause they’re cute!

Zipper swaddles for when they are newborns (I loved the love to dream arms up ones)
Sleeping bags/sleep sacks for when they are out of swaddling (as the sleeping bags have temperature TOG ratings it is so much easier to work out what to dress baby in for bed and sleeping bags are also a lot safer than blankets).
Also put on the big ticket items- people may go in together to buy things like a pram, car seat, change table, breast pump, video baby monitor, etc.
Playmat
First aid kit including all of the possible baby medication you might need (you don’t want to have to run out and get stuff in the middle of the night when a lot of places are closed). 
Diapers, wipes, barrier cream, lotion (make sure to get eczema safe products- no fragrances or essential oils)
Bath/room thermometer
Eating things- bowl, plate, baby spoons, containers for snacks, high chair, 360 cup, bibs (the silicone ones with catchers are great for food, the material ones are better for newborn spitup).
Books, toys, clothes- though people will generally buy these things regardless. I found sometimes people didn’t really take sizing into account though eg they bought a really cute summer romper in a size for a 6 month old that I could never use as it was winter when my LO could fit into it.

I’ll try not to repeat what other moms have said...
Bibs and burp cloths—LOTS. Babies spit up all the damn time. 
Changing pad, cover, and liners
Blankets! We got a lighter-weight one and a couple fleece ones. They’re nice to have baby lay on on the floor or to use in the car/stroller for chillier days.
Bottles... Even if you plan to breastfeed, you might eventually want to bottle feed so Dad can feed (or just in case breastfeeding doesn’t work out). 
Drying rack—the Boon grass really is great and worth the hype!
Sound machine (I’d recommend the Hatch)
Diaper pail.. We have the Dekor, but I’m not in love with it. 
As other moms said, diapers and wipes are important, but it’s hard to know what kind baby will fit best into/which wipes they’ll react well to. My LO has fit issues with a lot of diaper brands. Luckily, she’s never had a reaction to a wipe, but I’ve heard a lot of babies who have. I’m sure having a traditional shower is almost impossible, but I had a diaper raffle, so we got a whole bunch of different brands, which was useful cuz we could try each one till we found one that worked. 
I know this process is overwhelming, but you’ll be fine. It’s one of the most fun parts, too. Enjoy the anticipation of your new baby!! ☺️
