How do u respond to someone asking for your snap when u have a bf?

Just curious how you ladies react to other guys messaging you. I had a guy ask for my snap and when I responded with “ I have a bf sorry” he was like “that’s cool. I never asked if you had one, just wanted to be friends on snap” and I felt dumb!!! I’m curious how you ladies respond to guys who do this lol ever since the guy asked for my snap, if any guys comments on something or dms me I just ignore it but it’s awkward cause I’ll post and they’ll even like it but there’s just an unread message from them in my dms lol
